Go behind the scenes at historic Kumeu River Wines owned and operated by the Brajkovich family. Pioneers in New Zealand wine since 1944 they specialize in producing chardonnay, pinot gris, gewurtztraminer and pinot noir only from their own locally grown Kumeu Estates. See French burgundian barrels and how the wine is made.
Enjoy a side trip to beautiful Muriwai Beach and see the spectacular Gannet Colony. These migratory birds nest 10 months of the year, courting, mating and rearing their young. The australasian gannet has a wingspan of one and a half metres.
