Continental breakfast included. 2-course or 3-course dinners available at extra cost if booked in advance. In-house or packed lunch available at extra cost if booked in advance. No guest kitchen facilities (aside from the self-contained Ruapehu Suite and separate The Gardener's Folly cottage) but restaurants & fast food outlets are just 8km away. Smoking/vaping/drugs are not permitted. Check-in - 3-8pm. Checkout time - by 10am.
The guest can cancel free of charge until 14 days before arrival. The guest will be charged the first night if they cancel in the 14 days before arrival, or if they book and don't show up. No prepayment is usually needed.
Omaka Lodge, a boutique lodge, lies a short drive out of Taumarunui. The road follows the majestic Whanganui River and is a beautiful scenic tour at any time of the year. At the end of a tree lined sealed driveway, you’ll find Omaka Lodge and its beautiful mature gardens. Well positioned on the crest of a hill, with magnificent views of Herlihy’s Bluff and Mount Hikurangi, this wonderful lodge offers total privacy and seclusion. Situated amidst working farmland, Omaka Lodge and its expansive gardens are surrounded by the sights and sounds of everyday country life, where sheep and cattle dot rolling green-pastured hills and valleys echo to the sound of never-ending birdsong. Accommodation includes luxury rooms and a self-contained suite.
