Between 8 - 30 days before tour: a 10% fee will be deducted. Between 7 days and 48 hours before tour: a 50% fee will be deducted unless you rebook (subject to availability). Within 48 hours of tour or if you ‘no show’: no refund.

About

Spend a day learning about New Zealand's rich history and heritage whilst journeying across Waiheke's landscape. You will met by your local guide at the wharf. We will view the the stunning Hauraki Gulf, learn about the arrival of Māori to Waiheke Island. Visit pristine white sand beaches, forests & lookout spots. You will visit the focal point of the Māori community, learn about marae protocol, the significance & importance of carving, traditional tattooing, revitalisation of the Māori language & the impact of colonisation on the Māori people, the Treaty of Waitangi - breaches & how it now guides us as a nation. Olive oil, wine tasting & lunch. Guided native bush walk, where you likely see many native birds tui, kereru & piwakawaka.
