This allows time for flight adjustments should the weather be looking unfavorable. We see whales 97% of the time. Occasionally, despite our very best efforts and flight planning, you may not see a whale. This is rare and unfortunate but can happen. In the unlikely event that you do not see a whale, no refund will be offered.
Reservations may be transferred to another date, subject to space availability, with no transfer fee incurred, provided notification is received at least 24 hours in advance. If you or GCH Aviation are unable to re-schedule the flight, then a full refund will be provided. Please consider visiting one of our other bases to fly at while on your holiday in Christchurch or Wellington.

After viewing the magnificent marine life, you will fly high above Kaikoura and land amongst the towering Kaikoura Seaward Ranges, where you will take in some of the most breathtaking views that New Zealand has to offer. Seasonal snow landing. Views to the west of the Seaward Kaikoura Range, to the east Kaikoura flats and the iconic Kaikoura Peninsula stretching out like a whale's fluke. See the different colours of water along the coastline where the fresh, silty water comes out of the rivers and mixes in the salty sea.
