At the core of this treatment lies a deep connection to te ao Māori and the centuries old healing practices of the Ngāti Whakaue people. This 2.5 hours experience includes bathing within mineral-rich alkaline waters followed by a 90 minute massage that begins and ends with a karakia (Māori incantation) - crafted to enable a calm and serene state of being during treatment and a fond farewell on completion. Mirimiri is a traditional form of body work, incorporating customary tools and healing agents to improve physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing. With a light to medium pressure you are guaranteed to leave feeling deeply relaxed and culturally connected. Spa essential items provided.
