Hunters are required to hold a current Department of Conservation (DOC) hunting permit for some doc blocks. Know before you go. Weight limits apply. All flights subject to weather. Helicopter type is subject to machine availability. Please take a In Reach or PLB, these can be hired from Kaikōura Hunting & Fishing.

The Kaikōura region is host to an abundance of wild game throughout the Seaward Kaikōura ranges. Red deer, Chamois, goats and pigs in beautiful secluded mountainous terrain. There are a selection of local huts, Bivvies and campsites available depending on your preferences. Kaikōura Helicopters holds a concession to operate and land in all Department of Conservation hunting areas. Our AS350 turbine helicopter comfortably carries 5 passengers with large storage pods.
