About

Experience authentic Māori culture by carving your own pounamu taonga in this unique New Zealand Māori experience. Guided by our whānau of carvers, you’ll select your stone, hear the stories and meanings behind pounamu, and shape it step-by-step into a toki, roimata, or freeform design. Suitable for beginners, families, and travellers, the workshop blends creativity, culture, and connection. Leave with a polished, bound taonga you crafted yourself - a meaningful reminder of your time in Aotearoa and a special insight into Māori artistry and tradition.
