Te Huinga o Ngā Wai in Ngāruawāhia is where the Waipa river meets and joins the Waikato River.
This Stainless Steel sculpture is a depiction of the facial tattoo's of the first Māori King 'Pōtatau Te Wherowhero' and his son, the second Māori King 'Tāwhiao'. It stands at the very place Pōtatau was crowned in 1858.
