We also focus on the region’s incredible native wildlife, from glowworms and cave-dwelling species to iconic taonga such as kiwi, tuatara, and wētā. Students explore how these unique creatures have adapted to their environments, the challenges they face, and the vital conservation work being carried out to protect them.
