Supercars New Zealand Double Header – April 2026

Motorsport fans, get ready for back-to-back weekends of Supercars action! The ITM Taupō Super 440 kicks off from 10–12 April 2026, marking the return of high-octane racing to the heart of the North Island. Then, for the first time ever, the Championship heads south to Christchurch for its debut event from 17–19 April 2026.

Spectators can also explore Taupō’s beautiful landscapes and wide range of activities nearby.

Triathlon

IRONMAN 70.3 - 2026

Set against the stunning backdrop of Taupō, IRONMAN 70.3(opens in new window) New Zealand is one of the world’s most iconic endurance events. Athletes take on a 1.9km swim in the crystal-clear waters of the largest freshwater lake in Oceania, followed by a scenic 90km bike ride through rolling countryside and a 21.1km run along the lakefront, cheered on by an electric local crowd.

Hawke's Bay Marathon - 18th of May 2024

Hawke's Bay is famous for its vineyards, beaches and orchards. So what better way to take in a region's highlights than by running or walking? You can opt for the full Hawke's Bay Marathon(opens in new window) and go for 42km or take it a little easier with a 21km half marathon and 10km walk or run. 

 

Coast to Coast

13 & 14 February 2026

An iconic multisport event, Coast to Coast(opens in new window) sees competitors run, bike, hike and kayak across some of the most spectacular parts of the South Island. Starting from the windswept West Coast, the 243km course travels across the Southern Alps before ending at Christchurch's New Brighton Pier where a vibrant beachside festival greets competitors.
