About

Join skipper Rachel onboard MV Sootychaser. Her custom built boat is designed for comfortably carrying passengers on Otago Harbour. The vessel can take up to 20 people on each ferry crossing. You receive an explosive commentary on the way, as you travel right through the middle of Dunedin's extinct volcano.

There is a lot to see along the way including shipwrecks, historic quarantine stations, boats, birds and much more, making this more of a mini harbour tour.

Heated cabin, large windows, bathroom and an open deck. Head across for a picnic, with family, to a restaurant or cafe, cycle the loop or stay at Quarantine Island.
