Family tickets available from $385 to $525.
No children under 6 years of age are allowed on tours. Full payment will be required at the time of your booking whether in person or online. Tekapo Star Gazing asks you to understand that we are unable to guarantee full clarity, perfect skies, and visibility of certain objects in the night sky. The tours will operate every night regardless of weather. We have indoor presentation options using virtual reality, followed by the same hot pools session regardless of weather conditions.
Tekapo Star Gazing may cancel tours at staff discretion due to extreme weather (e.g. lightning or heavy snow), with full refunds issued. In cloudy conditions, a Virtual Reality tour is offered instead, no refunds apply. Economy: non-refundable and not changeable. Premium: changes/refunds up to 3 hrs prior. Premium Plus: fully refundable/changeable up to tour start.

This 90-minute guided experience connects you with the night sky through high-powered telescopes and soothing starlit soaking in the hot pools. When the weather doesn’t allow for telescope viewing, guests enjoy an immersive indoor Virtual Reality journey through the universe instead.
