Treble Cone is one of New Zealand’s most iconic alpine destinations, rising above Lake Wānaka in the South Island. Known for its dramatic terrain and sweeping panoramic views, it offers a true mountain experience that blends rugged natural beauty with world-class skiing and snowboarding. With the longest vertical rise in the country and terrain that ranges from wide-open groomed runs to challenging off-piste bowls, Treble Cone attracts both adventurous beginners and seasoned riders alike.
Are there shuttles to the ski field?
There are multiple companies that provide daily group and private shuttle services from Wanaka, Queenstown Airport and Queenstown to Treble Cone. The Treble Cone Shuttle(opens in new window) is a regular bus to help you get up and down the Treble Cone access road – no need to fit chains to your vehicle on snow days. Hope on board from the car park at the bottom of the mountain road and get dropped off at our base building.
Can I purchase food at the ski area?
There is a café and bar(opens in new window) at Treble Cone.
What type of lessons does the ski area provide?
The Treble Cone Snowsports School(opens in new window) offers a range of ski and snowboard lessons and programmes for all ages and ability levels including private lessons and week-long programmes.
Does the ski area have a terrain park?
Treble Cone is all about the natural features with natural halfpipes and rock drops. There isn’t a dedicated terrain park.
Does the ski area offer any childcare or crèche services?
Treble Cone does not offer creche style childcare facilities, but ski and snowboard lessons are available for children aged 3+.
