Everyone must be able to swim, be confident in water and reasonably fit. Basic swimming skills are required by all participants. Skills needed are moving forward with a freestyle kick, turning and balancing.
A full refund will be given provided you cancel at least 48 hours prior to departure. No refund within 48 hours of departure. Strict safety procedures are observed, however as the operator we cannot absolutely guarantee participant safety. Serious Fun Riverboarding cannot be held responsible for personal injury or for equipment lost or damaged. We reserve the right to cancel or amend any trip due to dangerous river conditions, insufficient numbers, or client unsuitability.
Serious Fun offer 2 levels of adrenaline on their guided riverboarding trips. 'River Surfing'' is a high adrenaline trip boarding through New Zealand's best high volume whitewater. The 'Sledging' trip uses sledges that are sturdy, buoyant and manoeuvrable which helps you to steer through the rapids.
