Our guides are experienced & are confident drivers, and our comfortable vehicles are all full time 4WD. We travel from the city to our family farm on the Otago Peninsula with a maximum of 10 guests per group. We supply high quality binoculars, spare wet weather jackets & there are toilet facilities at the farm. Guests are welcome to bring pre-packed food & drink as there are no opportunities to stop for food during our tours.
We will provide a refund (less a 3% transaction fee) or credit for cancellations made more than 24 hours prior to your tour. We reserve the right to charge up to 100% for bookings cancelled within 24 hours of your scheduled start time, or for no-shows. If your tour is cancelled by CWT for any reason we will attempt to reschedule your tour to another suitable day. If this is not possible, we will provide a full refund. We reserve the right to cancel or alter any tour, cruise, service, or price.
This extraordinary journey to the Clearwater family farm takes you through the remote backcountry & scenic inlets of the Otago Peninsula. Our experienced team will then guide you to a uniquely secluded breeding colony of NZ fur seals viewed from two stunning locations overlooking the wild Pacific Ocean. We then journey through our native conservation reserve to vital breeding grounds for rare, yellow-eyed penguins & NZ sea lions. Experience unrivalled close-up viewing from several secluded locations while exploring one of New Zealand's most untouched natural beaches.
