We're not able to accommodate Vegan, Paleo, or Dairy-Free diets in our regular scheduled classes but we'd love to arrange a private class tailored to your needs. Just get in touch to discuss. Our hands-on classes are kept small, with a maximum of 8 guests. Menus change with the seasons, so what's on the table may vary depending on what's fresh and available.
Cancellations by you - for all cooking classes, private classes and experiences: 61+ days prior to your scheduled experience date: full refund 31–60 days prior: 50% of the total booking fee refunded Within 30 days: no refund. Changing your date: Requests to change your booking to a different date must be made at least 31 days prior to your scheduled experience date. We're not able to guarantee date changes requested within 30 days, given our small group sizes and limited availability.
For keen cooks wanting to go deeper, The Hapuku Kitchen Experience is a full day rooted in the rhythms of the Kaikōura seasons. Begin with a guided tour of our garden and farm - harvesting produce, collecting eggs, meeting our pigs and cattle, and planting a seasonal seed or fruit tree - before settling into unhurried, hands-on cooking with chef Fiona, layering techniques as you build a shared three-course feast. Along the way, enjoy locally roasted coffee, tea and fresh-baked treats, plus wine pairings with your meal, and head home with the recipes to cook it all again. No experience necessary - suitable for cooks at all levels.
