Parasailing is a flying experience that promises blockbuster views of the surrounding area and enough adrenalin to keep you buzzing for the whole day. Most people choose a flight to 800 feet, but you can fly as high as 1200 feet. Getting dunked in the water is optional.
Some operators offer a tandem parasailing experience, so that you can ascend with a friend. Age is no barrier, although children below a certain weight need to be accompanied by an adult. Parasailing is often achievable for disabled people.
There are parasailing operators in various places around New Zealand, including the Bay of Islands, Bay of Plenty, Taupo, Wanaka and Queenstown.
