Head up into the stunning Waitakere Ranges and drop in to Babich Wines Established in 1916 to taste a range of White and red Wines. Then head to the remote West Coast black sand surf beach settlements of Piha and Karekare. Take photos of ‘Lion Rock’ and spectacular North Piha beach. See the beautiful Karekare waterfalls in a tranquil native forest setting. This is the beach where the iconic movie “The Piano” was filmed.
Take a 45 minute drive through rain forest and farmland.Stop and enjoy a tasting of varietals & blends at Soljans Winery and enjoy an open menu one course lunch in their Vineyard Cafe. Finally in the afternoon visit picturesque West Brook Wines for Estate and Marlborough wines at the Cellar Door before a 35min return trip.
