Mount Aspiring National Park, located in Te Wahipounamu - South West New Zealand World Heritage Area, is a wonderful mixture of remote wilderness, high mountains and beautiful river valleys.

The main route through Haast is part of the heritage highway system. The Haast Pass / Tioripatea short walks and scenic attractions are easily accessible.

Rob Roy Valley is a good entry point to an area of spectacular alpine scenery, snowfields, glaciers, sheer rock cliffs and waterfalls.
