In response to the new Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 (HSWA) which came into law in April 2016, we are making some changes on newzealand.com and in our operator database.
Tourism New Zealand has sought legal advice regarding our role in recommending tourism experiences and providing a platform for product suppliers to promote their business. In response to this we have changed our terms and conditions to be listed on newzealand.com.
This will help ensure that newzealand.com connects consumers to quality and legally compliant product.
Please go to www.register.newzealand.com and sign in using your account details. If you have forgotten your account details (e-mail and/or password) please don’t hesitate to contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org(opens in new window)
Once signed in you will see the following screen:
If you meet your legal obligations under the new Health & Safety at Work act, please click on accept and continue.
By doing so you meet our terms and conditions to be listed on newzealand.com, no further action is required. Your listing will remain active on newzealand.com and inactive listings will be reinstated within 24 hours.
Please go to www.register.newzealand.com and follow the same steps as above in 2. Please note it takes up to 24 hours for listings to be reinstated and appear on newzealand.com.
If you don’t take action by the 30th of September your listing(s) will become inactive in our operator database and will be hidden from newzealand.com.

While Tourism New Zealand is asking you to confirm that you meet your obligations under the new HSWA2015 to be listed on newzealand.com, meeting your obligations under this new act is a legislative requirement carried out by WorkSafe New Zealand not by Tourism New Zealand.
Please refer to Worksafe New Zealand to find out whether you meet your obligations under the new HSWA2015.
No, Tourism New Zealand does not need you to provide evidence of your health & safety measures.
Your listing will become inactive in our operator database and will be hidden from newzealand.com until you sign in to www.register.newzealand.com and are able to confirm that you meet your obligations under the HSWA2015.
Many regional tourism websites use the Tourism New Zealand Operator Database listings. If they do, your listing status on the Tourism New Zealand Operator Database will also affect your listing status on your regional tourism website. Please seek advice from your local RTO if you are unsure whether your listing is affected on your regional tourism website.
