We have a no smoking and/or drinking policy during any of our stargazing tours. We reserve the right to refuse admission if a participant is intoxicated or under the influence of illicit substances. In this instance, no refund will be given. All children must be under the supervision of a parent or guardian to ensure minimal disruption to other guests. Night Awe is restricted to children 5 years and over. We reserve the right to cancel or alter any tour or price at any time.
Akaroa Stargazing will provide a full refund or credit for cancellations if made more than 24 hours prior to your tour. We reserve the right to charge 100% for no-shows. Should Akaroa Stargazing cancel a tour for any reason, such as inclement weather, Akaroa Stargazing will provide either a full refund or will reschedule at your option.
Your immersion into the darkness starts as you first look up with your naked eyes. You will then get to see deeper into space thanks to our binoculars and telescope. Follow your Guide as he takes you on a journey of discoveries. Ask him any questions you might have about our night sky. On a clear night, it is essentially impossible to run out of objects to look for in the night sky, making stargazing an infinite source of inspiration and amazement. No prior astronomy knowledge is required. Tour overview: Small group - maximum 10 participants, Astronz 8” telescope, 10*50mm binoculars. Hot drink to stay warm, blankets, outdoor seating, souvenir photo taken and sent by email within 7 days. Toilets on site.
