The costs of our hire are outlined below, exclusive of pick up and drop off days. Crampons - $15 per day Ice Axe - $15 per day. Both - $25 per day.
Gear can be hired over the phone, via email or walk in. Pick up is from 12 pm the day before your hire, and drop is is before 12pm the next day. There is a late return charge of $15 (or $25 for both) if returned after 12pm. Signed rental agreement required. Credit or debit card or valid identification provided as a security deposit held for the duration of your hire, returned when you return the crampons or ice axe.
Hire is paid for on collection of the hire items, so no cancellation policy is required. Once paid, no refunds to be given.
Hire crampons and/or ice axes from us for winter walking and classic alpinism mountaineering. The crampons and walking ice axe are perfect for walking on snowy or icy rock. If there is a potential for snow or icy, or if there is more than a dusting of snow on the ground, this is essential kit to take with you - even if it doesn't come out of the bag, it is always safe to have them just in case you need them.
Your hire includes strap on G10 crampons compatible for any boot or shoe, and/or a walking ice axe. We also offer hire for Personal Locator Beacons, and Discs for Nelson's disc golf courses.
