The rate displayed is for the cottage, not per person.
We have a 2-night minimum stay requirement. Our rates include GST. You can secure your reservation by providing us with a 50% deposit, this can be via direct bank deposit or Visa/MasterCard credit cards. The balance is due 30 days prior to your arrival at The Cottage at StrathOwen. We strongly advise guests to take out travel insurance to protect themselves against unexpected changes to their travel. Fully equipped kitchen, WIFI, laundry and linen.
The Cottage at StrathOwen is a very small business, and cancellations affect us greatly, if your reservation is cancelled, there will be a charge of 50% of the accommodation cost: Within 60 Days of arrival, there will be a charge of 50% Within 45 Days of arrival, there will be a charge of 75% Within 30 Days of arrival, there will be a charge of 100%
Located right on the Owen River, the cottage was comprehensively renovated in 2025, with 2 double bedrooms with brand new kiwi wool carpet, brand new kiwi made beds, linen, and gorgeous kiwi wool duvets & blankets. The cottage is located on a lovely 75 acre farm, with fantastic views and makes an ideal holiday home destination for up to 4 guests. The living room is equipped with a reverse cycle air conditioner, a wood fire, some great board games, a Sony 55-inch TV, a great-sounding sound bar (which you can also use as a wicked Bluetooth speaker) , and a dining table and chairs. The kitchen is fully loaded with a gas hob, a new fan forced electric oven, microwave, Nespresso machine, dishwasher, plus the usual kitchen utensils one needs.
