The deck and gardens are always a popular place to relax after exploring the area, or a days cycling or hiking. Enjoy the cool sea breeze that comes up on those hot summer afternoons.
Our dining room is an area where our guest can enjoy a meal or make a hot drink. There is iced water in the guest fridge and the dining room is also where you'll find our complimentary fruit, cookies and sweets.
We are official partners of the Hauraki Cycle trail which is close by. Being partners means we are advised of any changes or problems on the trail daily so we can keep you informed of conditions, hazards and any closures. We also have limited secure bik
Our guest lounge has a cosy fire place, a tv, a large pool table and a small library. It's perfect for a large group gathering, an intimate wine, a family pool game, a quiet read or a game of chess.
A substantial breakfast is served each morning. This includes a choice of juices, a variety of cereals, fruit, yogurt, a cooked meal, a choice of toast and jams, along with freshly brewed coffee and a selection of teas. Breakfast is served in our dining
All of our rooms offer quality bedding, sheets and towels along with a heater or fan, a hairdryer and toiletries. Robes are available on request. A selection of teas and coffees are available to guests to enjoy both upstairs and downstairs.
Our family rooms sleep up to 4 people and overlook the balcony.
The balcony catches the afternoon sun and is the perfect place to watch the amazing sunsets we have here in Thames. It's a favourite area with our guests for enjoying a glass of wine with one of our cheese boards.

Any changes or cancellation to a reservation must be made no less than a week prior to your stay to avoid a cancellation fee of the first nights accommodation.
Lady Bowen Bed and Breakfast is the perfect base for a Coromandel holiday or a weekend getaway. Whether it be a week or a weekend we are sure you'll find plenty to do. Thames township with its many historic attractions, markets, shops, eateries and bars is an easy five minute walk away, the Hauraki Cycle Trail is on our doorstep, there are many walks (including the famous Pinnacles walk) nearby and we are at the gateway to the Coromandel Peninsula with its world famous beaches and spectacular scenery. We have a large premises with 8 guest rooms (one Single, one Twin, four Queen, and two Family rooms) so plenty of room for everyone. Guests share a big guest lounge, large dining room, garden and deck areas , and a lovely balcony.
