Rate is per night & includes cottage with full kitchen & BBQ, wood-fired hot tub, fast WIFI, streaming channels, cleaning fee, & all linens. Check-in: 2pm. Check-out 10am. Check-in guide is emailed the day before arrival. Maximum capacity 4 people (one bedroom has a queen bed, other room has a double sofa bed and can be either a bedroom or lounge). Children 2 years & over are full price. Children 0–23 months are free (portacot & linen provided free). Dogs on request only; fee is $60 per stay.

Cancellation Policy angle-down

If a booking is cancelled up to 14 days prior to arrival date, a full refund will be issued. If a booking is cancelled within 7 days of arrival date there is no refund. No Show Charges: No refund if guests do not show up.

The cottage is located on a private 10-acre ecosanctuary 530m above sea level at the base of the Ben Ōhau mountain range. It's a peaceful country location with incredible views in all directions, yet is only 17km from the town of Twizel. It's 50-minutes to Aoraki Mt Cook or Lake Tekapo, 2.5 hours from Queenstown and 4 hours from Christchurch. Experience the wonder of seeing some of the purest night skies in the world, free from light pollution and filled with dazzling stars! Te Manahuna Retreat is located in the Aoraki Mackenzie International Dark Sky Reserve and is ideal for stargazing and astrophotography. The cottage sleeps up to 4 people and features a hot tub, full kitchen + BBQ, fast WIFI, logburner, + washing machine/dryer.
