All ages welcome; 0–5 years free. Please notify us in advance for infants or toddlers. Up to 2 families per tour (4 per family, max 10). Japanese-speaking guide. Reclining chairs, blankets, hot water bottles, and hot chocolate provided. Outdoor tour—dress warmly and bring a jacket. Transport from Twizel meeting point included; self-drive also possible (prior notice). Guests receive a complimentary digital photo and Celestial Navigation certificate after the tour.

Cancellation Policy

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the tour. Cancellations within 24 hours, no-shows, or any changes due to personal reasons are non-refundable. Full refund is provided only in case of bad weather or unsafe conditions.

Guests can relax on reclining chairs, observe planets and star clusters through telescopes, and enjoy a peaceful guided introduction to the southern sky with a Japanese-speaking guide. With an earlier start time, families can experience the wonder of the night sky together while still keeping bedtime routines in mind. This is a mindful, gentle way to connect with the stars in the Aoraki Mackenzie Dark Sky Reserve, creating lasting memories for all generations.
