Allow 1-2 hours. 1-4-person experience. Retractable roof. Young children can easily become overheated and dehydrated so for health and safety reasons, we do not allow children under 5 years to enter the pool rooms at any time. Evening sessions are restricted to 12+. Guests receive towels and drinking water, additional drinks and snacks can be purchased on arrival.
Rescheduling & Cancellation Policy: To amend or cancel your experience, we require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice prior to your scheduled booking time. Failure to do so will result in a cancellation fee equivalent to 100% of the price of the booking. Rescheduling is subject to availability. 72 hours’ notice of cancellation or rescheduling is required for all group bookings (3+ pools).
Onsen's classic cedar-lined hot pools offer a uniquely Kiwi twist on a traditional Japanese bathing experience. Perched above the Shotover River, each exclusive-use pool is filled with pure mountain water and gently heated to a soothing around 38.3°C.
Enjoy uninterrupted tranquillity, surrounded by panoramic alpine views and the peaceful sounds of nature. With a retractable roof, your soak transforms effortlessly from a cosy retreat to an open-air escape under the sky – all at the push of a button.
Perfect for individuals or groups of up to four. Please note: your one-hour booking includes changing time. Separate changing facilities are available if you need additional time to get ready post-soak.
