About

Enjoy an incredible day out walking in the Port Hills surrounding Christchurch city with a private guide. You will be picked up from your accommodation in an SUV, and entertained with the history of Christchurch on the 30-minute drive to Sumner.  Hot drinks are provided at a seaside cafe before heading to Taylors Mistake Beach. Set off along the coastal track, and visit Lyttelton Harbour, the caldera of the ancient volcano. The 8km walk includes a WWII coastal defense battery, Scotts Hutt, and amazing views of the rugged Pacific coastline stretching across Pegasus Bay to the often snow-covered Southern Alps. Picnic lunch is provided at a remote beach which can only be reached by foot. Walking time is 3 hours.
