About

Dog Point Vineyard celebrated their first release of wine under the 2002 vintage. The name Dog Point dates from the earliest European settlement of Marlborough, when a marauding pack of dogs used to dwell in the area. Owners, Ivan and Margaret Sutherland, alongside James and Wendy Healy are involved from the vineyard through the winemaking process. Vines are low cropped, hand-picked and grown under an organic regime. Four wines are produced, a Sauvignon Blanc, an oak aged and fermented Sauvignon Blanc (Section 94), a Chardonnay and a Pinot Noir. Vineyard tours and tastings are welcome by appointment.
