Just off Taranaki's Surf Highway 45, near Manaia, this neat little coastal camp offers a slice of simple beach life. It's quite the wow moment as you drive down to it. We have camp sites, two cabins and a bunkhouse available . A 'gem by the sea'.

Powered site $45 Non powered site $40 (sites for 2 adults and 2 children Free showers. Laundry $4 All powered sites are priced (2 adults and 2 children). Additional adults $10 Additional children (under 14yr) $5 Small Tent sites $20 pp.
For Xmas/ New Year period a deposit is required. All sites are priced at 2 adults and 2 children. Extra charges for additional children (under 14yr) ($5) and adults ($10). Small Tent sites are priced per person ($20). Special price during white-bait season. White-baiters special rates $28 per night for up to 2 people. (3 nights min+).
No refund of deposit will be given if cancellation is within 14 days of Xmas / New Year period booking.
30 x powered camp sites and 2 x cabins available (8 bed) and (5 bed). A dormitory is available that sleeps 9 people. Kaupokonui Beach Camp offers fully equipped kitchens - free showers - male / female ablution block. There is a great safe children's play-ground and camp shop which sells ice (to chill down the fish you catch only a couple of minutes walk from the campsite) and chips, ice-blocks and pies.
Safe river swimming and great surf casting only a a couple of minutes walk away from the beach. Sand dune and beach walks are very popular. Below the camping ground is a reserve with picnic tables shaded by norfolk pines. A footbridge crosses the river to the beach and safe swimming for the kids in the river.
