About

The Otago Central Rail Trail is ideal for walkers and cyclists who wish to see some spectacular Central Otago scenery, at an easy pace, on flat, gravelled terrain. The immensely popular Rail Trail runs for 150kms between Clyde and Middlemarch (close to Dunedin) and is a public reserve, motorised vehicles are not permitted. Walkers and cyclists have no traffic concerns as they traverse the level surface. The heritage of the old railway line has been preserved, with the retention of viaducts and bridges, and some of the old Railway Stations to visit along the way. Your tour includes all meals, 3 nights of good quality accommodation, transport ex Queenstown, luggage portage and several enjoyable side trips to local places of interest.
