About

The Chatham Islands Museum and Cultural Heritage Charitable Trust was proud to announce in February 2022 the new purpose-built Chatham Islands Museum opened to visitors. Amongst many exhibits on display here, telling the islands' story, the photography collection holds over 2,100 images of landscapes, plants and animals, buildings, ships and shipwrecks, people and events, and our archives include documents, maps, newsletters, and newspapers. Together they capture our fascinating history.
