Wine for 18+ . Domaine Thomson offers a “Two Hemispheres” tasting of 5 wines, tailored to suit your needs. Our flagship Surveyor Thomson Pinot Noir is always served along with a wine from Burgundy, France. (Each individual tasting is refundable with the purchase of two bottles of wine).
At the Domaine Thomson Cellar Door, visitors can experience something truly unique - Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from both Central Otago and Burgundy, France, tasted side by side under the Domaine Thomson label. It’s a rare opportunity to explore wines from both hemispheres in one place. The warm, welcoming atmosphere and beautiful gardens make it an ideal spot to linger over a glass of wine. Cheese platters are also available. Domaine Thomson is named after John Turnbull Thomson, Surveyor General of New Zealand and a forbear of one of the founders, who mapped Central Otago in the 1850s. The Cellar Door, draws inspiration from a traditional woolshed. It offers a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere to enjoy a glass of wine.
