Charges are by the half day and full day hire.
Helmets are provided. We have high vis vests available for you to use when cycling and encourage their use. Obey all New Zealand Road Rules when riding on roads, including riding on the left hand side of the road. For e-motorbike hire a driver's licence must be verified through Stripe before hire and only 1 person can use them at a time. There is a weight limit of 150kg.
For cancellations of bookings by guests made outside of 24 hours, a 10% administration fee, plus card fees, will be deducted from the refund. All activities cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will incur the full charge. In the case of adverse weather conditions, Kinloch Wilderness Retreat will endeavor to provide you with alternative arrangements at the same or a similar price point for our services.
Riding an electric bike makes it easier to go further, as less stamina is required and managing head-winds and hills is much less demanding; they are a great way to extend your cycling distance! An electric bike demands virtually the same skills as when riding a standard bike. Get around and explore with assisted speed up to 32 km/h. Maximum range 120 – 140km and then you'll have to use your legs. UBCO electric motorbikes are silent and safe - lightweight, low center of gravity, better traction offroad and on gravel through electric motors in both the front and rear wheels. Top speed 50km/hr and batteries have a range of 70kms. No pedals, no gears, no chain, no fuss – just turn the key and go.
