Located in the heart of Gibbston, just a short drive from Queenstown, the Monte Christo Winery Cellar Door is housed within the former stone stables of the historic Gibbston Hotel, once a resting point for gold miners travelling between Queenstown and Cromwell. Set amongst the Valley of the Vines and alongside the Gibbston River Trail, this welcoming Cellar Door offers hosted wine tastings featuring wines sourced from our vineyards in the Alexandra Basin, Bannockburn and Pisa subregions. Guests can also enjoy gourmet platters, local craft beer, and wines by the glass or bottle in the historic surrounds. The Gibbston Cellar Door is a gateway to our Clyde estate, the birthplace of Central Otago wine.
