Koha appreciated
Before booking seek medical advice if you have any conditions that may preclude strenuous activity. Bring water, sun screen, hat, warm layer and a lot of enthusiasm. For community groups and independent walkers there is no harge. However, a koha would be appreciated. Minimum of 4 participants, limited to 15 participants.
We will contact you by 8am of the walk should we need to cancel the walk because of weather concerns.
If you are a community group or an individual who wants to know more about the Māori history of the Bay of Plenty coastline join us for a 3-4 hour walk in the Papamoa Hills. This coastline was from where much of Māori settlement around Aotearoa began. Hear the ancient stories from the spectacular views of the 'Hills'. Walk amongst what is regarded a the best kept group of pā sites in Aotearoa.
