Suitable for most ages & abilities. Do not touch the glowworms or ceiling. Keep quiet. No running/jumping inside the cave. No food/drinks. No smoking/vaping. Footwear must be worn at all times (jandals/sandals OK). No companion animals in the cave. Warning: CO2 levels in the tunnel may be higher than outdoors. Individuals with respiratory conditions are advised not to participate.
Located opposite Redwoods Treewalk & Nightlights, this 70-metre eco-cave experience blends conservation, education, and design. The fully guided tour takes around 10 minutes, making it perfect for those wanting to see glowworms up close in an easily accessible way.
Did you know, glowworms are actually not worms at all, but the larvae of a small gnat. To attract prey, they produce a shimmering blue-green light from their tails, creating a magical star-like display. Hanging delicate silk threads, they form a miniature night sky inside the cave.
