Individuals with respiratory conditions are advised not to participate.
Deep within damp caves and shaded forests, these tiny creatures perform one of nature’s most magical light shows. Glowworms are not worms at all, but the larvae of a small gnat. To attract prey, they produce a shimmering blue-green light from their tails - rather like the fireflies of summer nights. Dangling silk threads, they create a starry night in miniature, for us, it feels like stepping into a fairytale. Yet for the glowworm, it is a clever and beautiful way to survive. See them up close in our purpose-built eco-cave, day or night.
