Other Ski Fields

Less than 2 hours' drive from Christchurch you'll find the Selwyn ski fields. The largest of the six is Porters; then there are the smaller club fields – Craigieburn Valley Ski Area, Temple Basin Ski Area, Broken River Ski Area, Cheeseman Ski Area and Mt Olympus Ski Area.

Venture towards Hanmer Springs and you can ski at Mt Lyford Ski Area, a commercial field, or at the club field of Hanmer Springs Ski Area. A Licence to Chill Multi Mountain Pass gets you access to 13 of the ski fields in the Canterbury and Mackenzie regions.
