2 night minimum stay apart from public holidays (3 nights) and Christmas/New Year periods (6-7 nights). No smoking. Romantic, Special Occasion and Winter Packages all available.
In the unforeseen event that you need to make a cancellation we make every effort to fill your nights. If we are successful then we make no cancellation charge. If however we are unable to fill the nights, because of our intimate size cancellations affect us greatly and so we regret to have to charge you for any remaining unfilled nights. Travel insurance is recommended.
Magic Cottage at Takou River is a beautiful secluded riverside retreat on the banks of the Takou River, near Takou Bay beach and a short distance from Kerikeri, in the Bay of Islands.
Romantic alfresco clawfoot bath, stunning views, private accommodation; kayaks, swimming & fishing; private boathouse & jetty; secluded swimming & picnic spots, glow worms; beaches & farm walks. The cottage is set in 5 acres of subtropical gardens on the banks of Takou River, surrounded by 150 acres of organic farm & native bush.
