Ride alongside the Whanganui River. A river recognised in legislation as possessing its own mauri, life force. We start with a Jet boat ride on the water before riding back to Whanganui. Our journey takes us cross country to Hunterville, peaceful riding with barely a car on the road, finishing with a tour at Maungaraupi Country Homestead - a gob-smacking Natusch designed homestead. We spend the night in Mangaweka on the banks of the Rangatikei River before riding to Apiti, stopping to explore local attractions along the way. After a night spent at Makoura Lodge with warm local hospitality it is mostly downhill to Ashhurst and then into Palmerston North where we finish our adventure.
