Egmont National Park encompasses more than 300 kilometres of walking tracks where you’ll see rainforests, waterfalls and mossy swamps. Also in the park is the huge volcano Mount Taranaki, a perfectly symmetrical cone which is often described as ‘New Zealand’s most climbed mountain’. If you’re looking for a challenge, Mount Taranaki provides non-mountaineers with an achievable hike.
