Want to spend some more time in the saddle? Join us for a stunning 2.5 - 3 hour trek to experience the magic and beauty of our ‘backyard’. Trek through native bush and massive pine plantations up to our famous lookout. Ride down from the lookout to cross the Waimarino River before heading back to base. If you’re lucky, you might even sight a wild Waimarino horse and its herd.

This trek is suitable to most abilities, from confident beginner to experienced riders. Our base trek is at a walking pace, so will even suit first-time riders. If you are an experienced rider looking for the thrill of going at a fast-pace and the ability to canter through the beautiful forest, make sure you book in for our ‘Need for Speed’ variation of this ride.
