The price of your trip includes the following: - Guide and permit fees - Helicopter flights in and out - Return transport from Wanaka office to the staging area - Exclusive use of Whare Kea Luxury Chalet - Meals while in the mountains - 15% NZ Goods and Services Tax Exclusions - Personal equipment (clothing, day pack, sunblock etc.) - Alcoholic drinks (BYO)
In order to confirm a guide and your trip, we require a completed Registration Form and a deposit of NZ$1,000. The balance of payment is then due 60 days prior to the start date. Please note that in order to reserve a guide we recommend that you book well in advance.
Our Luxury Backcountry Trekking trips offer an elevated hiking experience, using the Whare Kea Mountain Chalet as our well-appointed base for exploring the rugged high country that surrounds. Accessed by a scenic 15-minute helicopter ride, endless hiking possibilities abound in this adventure paradise on the edge of Mount Aspiring National Park. Join our experienced local guides as we use each day to explore the scenic wilderness around us before returning for a sumptuous hosted meal and heated chalet each night, or simply relax and enjoy the incomparable views of the Southern Alps from the chalet's large viewing windows. All-in-all this is the perfect high-end getaway to embrace the great outdoors.
