As an activity for families and small groups, we can offer an individual alpaca experience. Being in with the herd, hand feeding and interacting with the alpacas can be followed by leisurely walking them around the farm and alongside the river.

After an introductory chat, you will meet the alpacas, get in amongst them, hand feed and discover why alpacas are the gentlest animals to have on a farm. Depending on the time of year, we may have crias (baby alpacas), adults in full fleece or sheared, grazing or simply relaxing in the paddock. Whichever it is, you will find them calming to interact with. The attraction for many visitors is taking an alpaca on a lead for a walk around our farm paddocks, alongside the river. There will be plenty of time for photos. Visitors can later examine alpaca fleeces and learn how these are turned into beautifully soft scarves and hats. We process, hand spin and knit fleeces only from our own animals and many of these products are for sale.
