Family owned since 1915 registered as a NZ Historical Place Cat.1. In a remote part of the Kauaeranga Valley, Simun Devcich, created a farmstead. He traded with the gum diggers living in bush camps in the valley. The original buildings still remain.

Please remove shoes please, no smoking inside, no parties, and definitely no pets. Guests are free to roam around the buildings but preferably not into the paddocks where the animals are unless accompanied by the host. Some fences are electric and there are some electric tapes across the farm gates. The usual farm rule applies regarding gates, if its closed, please close it.
Two nights minimum stay. Full refund 5 days prior to arrival.
Two room cottage. 1 bedroom, bathroom, lounge with fold down couch, kitchenette microwave, fridge, BBQ. Mobile reception for Spark and One NZ. 3 bedroom homestead is also available to be rented separately listed. 2 night minimum stay. River on the boundary good trout fishing and a great swimming hole nearby. Quite an array of exotic animals. Department of Conservation bush walks to the popular Pinnacles further up the valley. We also offer several activities that are available to guests. History tour through the old buildings - 30 mins - Free. Llama trekking along the old tram track - 90 mins. Please inquire when booking extra charges apply.
