All our rides are on backcountry roads and would be Graded 2 – 3. You will be sharing the road with other traffic, though you will most likely encounter very few other vehicles.
Hiring an e-bike is a great way to get out and explore the beautiful Rangitikei district. E-bikes offer a fun way to get some exercise and fresh air without the pain.

Choose a freedom hire and head out at your own pace, winding through local back roads with no agenda but your own. Or let us shuttle you up into the high country, where sweeping views of Mt Ruapehu, the Otupae and Ruahine Ranges set the scene for a spectacular descent - with a gourmet picnic lunch along the way. For those who want more, our multi-day rides span 5 or 7 days through the Central North Island high country and the legendary Gentle Annie Road, finishing at either the West or East Coast. Comfortable lodge accommodation and farm-to-table meals from Miranda's kitchen are waiting at River Valley Lodge.
