Minimum of 2 people. Lunch is presented on the river and any special dietary requirements can be catered for, so let us know.
We do not cancel due to weather. If the river is unsafe/unsuitable for the day's activity, we will try to postpone.
Imagine floating through 80 metre gorges, with mists of water falling off the sides of the gorge and onto your face. Native bird calling out and native bush all around. You are away from it all. The Grand Canyon of the Rangitikei delivers this stunning day trip, passing through film locations of Lord of the Rings as seen in Ian Brodie's "The Lord Of The Rings Location Guidebook". We meet at Awastone, 4WD to the start, float along Grade 2 stretches of river and enjoy a catered lunch by a hidden waterfall. The scenery is breathtaking, so make sure you bring your camera. At the finish we 4WD out of the gorge, transport you back to Awastone for an afternoon snack. Includes transport, hot drinks, Riverside Lunch, Guide and all equipment.
