Comfortable and cosy, with a wood burner for winter stays and a covered verandah for a relaxing lazy afternoon. The fully equipped kitchen includes gas hobs and oven and a barbecue is located on the verandah. We provide pantry basics (freshly laid free range eggs, cooking oils, tea, coffee and milk) and you can pick culinary herbs from the garden. Guests have access across fifty acres and can interact with farm animals, take a stroll along the riverside, or climb the hill. We embrace the principles of kaitiakitanga - the Māori view of guardianship of the natural environment. Hares Hut is a carbon positive property.
