Hockey is widely played in NZ at school and club level, on sand and water-based turfs. Take in the vast natural landscapes and enjoy experiencing the Maori culture between training and games. In 1968 Beryl Imrie (Tour Time Founder) packed her wee bag and Hockey stick and boarded the bus along with her Manawatu Team-mates and departed for Gore to compete in the National Tournament. Hockey is a passion of Beryl and Ron’s (and this is how they met), but they carried on their love of Hockey for many, many years as they have looked after not only the Hockey New Zealand Men’s & Women’s Hockey teams travel over the last 28 years, but visiting international touring teams too.
